Banks in Nepal and around the globe are working through three stacked frameworks: ESRM screening on every new loan (2018), Green / Amber / Red portfolio classification under the Green Finance Taxonomy (October 2024), and ISSB-aligned NSRS or similar disclosure including Scope 3 financed emissions (2026 to 2027). Each layer demands more workflow change than the one before, and most banks are solving it through spreadsheets and loan-officer judgment that will not scale to NSRS.
Jana works alongside the bank's Risk, Credit, and Sustainability teams through a structured 90-day BFI compliance engagement: discovery and gap analysis, integration design and pilot setup, and a working pilot on a representative portfolio subset. Workflow-first, not data-first. Phase 1 is an honest diagnostic; if the gap is small, the deliverable says so. By the end of the engagement the bank's teams own the operating model, and knowledge transfer is the close.
Independent, audit-ready data sits underneath: facility-level emissions, sector baselines, and community air quality, all traceable to public sources that NRB supervisors and external auditors can verify on their own.
